Jason Croom started his dance training when he was three years old at the Community Development Center in Brooklyn, NY. Pretty soon his parents noticed that he was a natural on stage and began to expose him to different dance styles and acting.
After moving to Georgia, Jason continued his acting training under Chez Studios and the ACT Conservatory of Drama & Theatre. He has appeared in film, television and theatre roles.
He went on to study with dance instructors/choreographers Mr. Wiggles, Popin Pete, Marty Kudelka, Napoleon & Tabitha, Tony Tran, Jun Quemada and other renowned instructors.
Jason is the regional winner of MTV television show 'America’s Best Dance Crew' Season 5 [The Swagger Crew], professional dance coach and choreographer for MTV Made TV show, winner of Atlanta’s Best Dance Crew [Scream Tour Next Generation 2 Competition], and Cultural Dance Ambassador representing President Obama and the U.S. at the 15th Annual International Cultural Festival in the Bahamas, to name a few.
Jason teaches Hip-Hop, Jazz, Wedding dances, Salsa, Merenge and Acting and has over 17 years of dance experience before opening Rhythm Elements Dance Studio.
With his extensive background and knowledge, he is a sought after judge for dance competitions. He was awarded teacher awards and choreography awards. He choreographed a Pre-Game Show for the WNBA Dreams Basketball Team, Pulse On Tour (an international traveling dance convention and workshop), Modernicity Dance Company, The Swagger Crew Dance Team, Old Towne Conyers Fall Festival, General Ray Davis Performing Arts Academy, numerous regional and national dance competitions, theatre productions and dance workshops.
As studio director at Rhythm Elements, Jason's goal is to provide the best possible dance education to students as well as a positive, fun atmosphere for learning that gives each student a sense of pride, accomplishment and self-confidence. He loves working with youth and inspiring and motivating them to achieve their personal greatness.
