We teach correct terminology and proper dance foundation

Our children and adult classes build self-confidence and boost creativity!

PRE-classes gives younger children an opportunity to explore different dance styles on the basic foundation level. PRE-classes are a precursor to the next level class as the child gets older.

INTRO-classes are for the absolute beginner student without any formal dance training and will give them an introduction to dance structure.

BALLET levels I/II/III/IV/V- is a progression of ballet terminology and steps that takes the student from the beginner level through intermediate, advanced and pre-professional levels.

The Creative Movement class is a fun activity designed with toddlers in mind and is 30 minutes in length.  Toddlers will enjoy creative dance steps and fun pops to help them begin to develop balance, coordination, poise and learn simple dance technique that unleash their creativity and imagination.  The class also teaches the value of taking turns and working together.

Ballet enhances a child’s posture, grace, poise, coordination, balance, flexibility and musicality.  In the tap portion of the class, students will learn simple tap steps and use their feet to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats.  Dance combinations are taught in both forms of dance.

Considered the true foundation for most dance disciplines, ballet is essential to a dancer’s overall progress.  Classes begin at the barre to practice proper body placement, followed by center and across the floor work.  Emphasis will be placed on the discipline of classical ballet technique, correct body placement, posture, arm and head movements, musicality, and mastering the steps.  Ballet builds strength, flexibility and balance that can be applied in other dance classes.  Class time will periodically be devoted to the written as well as spoken French ballet terminology.

Students must be recommended by an instructor to study pre-pointe and show promise in technique and strength in legs, ankles and muscles.  This class emphasizes strengthening technique, balance and knowledge of pointe work.
